About Keybound
Keybound is a free website for measuring and improving your typing, with practice tools and a collection of original typing games.
What you can do here
- Typing test — 15, 30 or 60 seconds of common words or punctuated sentences, with speed (WPM), accuracy and error counts.
- Practice — short lessons for the home row, common words, punctuation and a drill built from the letters you miss most often.
- Start Here — a calm beginner path explaining hand position and where to begin.
- Arcade — 9 typing games: Orbit Defender, Prism Pop, Fleet Command, Critter Clash, Chomp City, Orchard Edge, Keyline Rally, Spook Patrol, Bloomkeeper.
- My Progress — your recent results and personal bests.
How it works
Keybound is owned and operated by The Collextion, LLC. The site runs in your web browser. There are no accounts. Results, game unlocks and settings are saved in your browser's local storage on the device you use, so they do not follow you to other devices or browsers. See the privacy policy for details.
What Keybound does not claim
Keybound is a practice and entertainment tool. It does not certify typing speed and makes no promise about how quickly anyone will improve. Regular, accurate practice is what tends to help; the site simply makes that practice easier to measure and more fun.
