Summary

• Keybound is owned and operated by The Collextion, LLC.
• There are no accounts, sign-ups or contact forms.
• Your results, unlocks and settings are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
• Like any website, loading pages involves our host and a font provider receiving standard technical information such as your IP address.
• With your permission only, we use Google Analytics to measure visits. Keybound does not show ads or use advertising cookies.

The controller of your information

The Collextion, LLC is the entity responsible for the collection and handling of personal information on key-bound.io. Keybound is the public-facing name of the website; it is not described here as a separate company.

Information stored on your device

Keybound uses your browser's localStorage (not cookies) under two keys:

• keybound.progress.v1 — recent typing-test and practice results (date, duration, mode, WPM, accuracy, error count), arcade scores and wins, game unlocks and cosmetics, story progress in Bloomkeeper, and your settings (sound, reduced motion, larger text).
• keybound.missed.v1 — a count, per letter, of how often you mistype it, used for the "missed letters" practice drill.

We do not store the text you type or a log of your keystrokes. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. It is lost if you clear site data, and it does not sync between browsers or devices.

Deleting your data

Open My Progress and use "Reset my progress" to delete both keys. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Services involved in running the site

• Hosting. The site is built and hosted with Lovable, which serves pages through cloud infrastructure. Like any web host, it processes request information (such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time) to deliver pages, keep the service secure and keep operational logs.
• Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's font service (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics (only if you allow it)

If you choose "Allow analytics", your browser loads Google Analytics 4 from Google. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and sends Google standard usage information: pages viewed and their titles, the referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, device, browser and screen details, and time on site. We use this only to understand how the site is used. We never send the text you type, your keystrokes, names, email addresses or other personal information. Analytics consent does not enable advertising; advertising storage stays denied. Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you decline or haven't chosen, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. We use a localStorage entry, keybound.consent.v1, to remember your choice.

Keybound does not use tracking pixels or advertising services.

Advertising (planned, not active)

We may in future show ads through Google AdSense to support the site. Ads are not enabled today. Before any ads are shown we will update this policy and, where required (including in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent management platform. When ads are active:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

Your choices

You can allow or decline analytics when you first visit, and change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link in the footer. Withdrawing stops analytics immediately and deletes the Google Analytics cookies for this site. You can also block cookies or clear site data in your browser, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Children

Keybound is designed for a general audience and is not directed specifically at children under 13. The site has no accounts or forms, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
